Consignment Contract

Term:

This agreement shall have a term of ninety (90) days minimum from the day the item is posted.
If the Consignor wishes to end the contract and pick up any item before 90 days, the associated commission that would have been due to Oakville Consignment upon the sale of the item is due at the time of pickup and must be paid in cash or e-transfer (oakvilleconsignment@icloud.com). 

Consignor must provide Oakville Consignment with seven (7) days notice for any item picked up before the minimum 90 day period. Failure to respect the above terms will result in all consigned items being returned to the Consignor. 

 Fees:

• Chanel & Hermes Handbags (over $3,000): 10%

• Other Designers: 15%

• Shoes & Accessories: 20%

• Clothing & Beauty: 25% 

• Children's Clothing: 30%

Process:

Items are accepted at Oakville Consignments' sole discretion based on a number of factors including current trends, brand, condition, demand, & volume of items already in stock.  Oakville Consignment may refuse to accept or return any or all items consigned at any time if the terms of  this contract are not respected.  
Upon receipt, Oakville Consignment will take all necessary steps to sell your item. Additionally, items may or may not be promoted/offered for sale via Oakville Consignments' website and/or social media outlets.
Consignor attests that they are not offering and will not offer the item for sale via any other method or venue while the item is in the possession of Oakville Consignment.

Pricing, Discounts & Markdowns:

Oakville Consignment determines the price of item based on numerous factors listed above.  We provide a range to help sell your item faster.  Discounts and markdowns are done based on the "range" provided.  Any further discounts must be communicated to us in writing and we will advertise accordingly.

Shipping:

Oakville Consignment is not responsible for items that are lost in transit while in the process of being consigned to us.

Payment(s):

Payouts are done via e-transfer once items are paid in full.  We have the right to sell your items on a payment plan while within the 90 day contract.

Loss or Damage:

Oakville Consignment is not responsible for damaged or stolen merchandise.  Please note all items are stored in a secure facility at a location offsite only known to us.
